Reminder: Tolt Dam Evacuation Drill Forms Due

Reminder - If your student is unable to make the walking journey, please return the bottom portion of the attached letter to the main office by Wednesday, September 17th. 


The annual Tolt Dam Evacuation Drill for students and staff will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. If your student is unable to walk to the evacuation site, please complete the attached form and return it to the main office by Wednesday September 17th. If your student carries medication for a life-threatening condition, such as an inhaler or epinephrine, they need to have it with them during the drill. 


As many of you know, the Riverview School District participates in a simulated evacuation in order to be prepared in the unlikely event of a dam breach. At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24th, students at Tolt Middle School, Carnation Elementary, and Riverview Learning Center will participate in this drill. Students learn how to safely evacuate campus by following the route to the evacuation site. Make sure your student wears comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes for walking/hiking, and eats a healthy and hearty breakfast.
