Apply/Renew Now for Free and Reduced Meal Benefits

Riverview School District (RSD) is reminding families to renew or apply for free and reduced meal benefits as applications from the previous school year are set to expire on October 15, 2024. The district urges families who believe they may qualify to complete the necessary paperwork to ensure their children continue to receive meal benefits for the 2024-2025 school year.

Families that benefited from free or reduced-priced meals during the 2023-2024 school year must reapply annually to maintain these essential benefits. The process requires a new application each year to assess eligibility based on any changes in family income, household size, or other relevant factors.

For ease of access and to streamline the process, applications can be filled out online. Parents and guardians can visit the "F&R Application and Info" section on the district's website to find all necessary information and complete their applications.

RSD’s commitment to ensuring that every student has access to nutritious meals underscores the importance of the free and reduced meal program. By assisting families in maintaining their eligibility, Riverview School District aims to support the health and well-being of its students, which is critical to their academic success and overall development.

For additional assistance or questions regarding the application process, families are encouraged to contact the Riverview School District’s Nutrition Services Department. The district also plans to hold several informational sessions throughout September and early October to guide families through the application process and to answer any questions they may have.
